A little bit about me 👨🏻💻
Hi there, my name is Christopher Haines, but you can call me Chris. I’m a Product Designer living in Brighton.
I’ve had quite a career pivoting journey from starting out in the Finance industry to moving into the world of Web Development to finally discovering my passion for user centred design.
At first, I leant how to become a Front End Developer because I loved discovering new apps and digital experiences.
During this time, I would constantly question design decisions and how they affected the user experience. I started learning about Human Centred Design in my spare time because I wanted to solve real problems that affected people, and I realised that my true passion lay in User Experience Design.
I love the philosophy of being able to discover problems and opportunities for people in the digital space. I take an empathetic and creative approach when solving problems with design by being user focused and driven.
As a designer I am constantly learning and evolving to create better solutions and experiences for users.
After graduating from the UX/UI design course at Flatiron in March 2020 (great timing!) I was fortunate enough to join the design team at Engaging Tech, where I worked as a UX/UI Designer since November 2020 to November 2021.
Since then, I have been working as a Product Design at Olio, a great company with a great cause to that’s aiming to help end food waste. I work on the B2B side of the business, and get to regularly speak with and solve problems for the company’s many volunteers and their passion and drive are so rewarding to design delightful experiences for!
